Traditional hedge laying in the churchyard

Last autumn, we did our annual cut and clean up, thanks to a dedicated band of volunteers.  We also erected various home made wildlife shelters using whatever materials were to hand!

Barney Jones has done a great job of hedge laying our perimeter hedge and since Christmas we have planted 20 native tree saplings to fill in the gaps in the hedge.

I have put a small display showing our progress in the Porch, and hope to produce portable “spotter” guides for use by visitors to help identify the range of plants and wildlife at St Winnow.

Hopefully, once restrictions are eased we will be able to have a session recording the birds and bugs in the Churchyard.
